Wegmans
Next Door
Astor Place
NYC
Located just inside the entrance to Wegmans flagship Astor Place grocery store, Next Door is a Japanese style restaurant serving handcrafted sushi and cocktails. Known for their dedication to the customer experience, Wegmans had very specific requirements for touch panel control of lighting, shades, climate, and audio. Working in collaboration with a local AV company, Crestron's Commercial Lighting Division, and the Wegmans organization, we were able to provide discrete level and preset control of over 50 lighting loads, multi-zone distributed audio over Dante, and control of multiple shades. Historical buildings often present interesting challenges, especially in NYC, and this was no exception. The temperature controls required a custom solution, using control voltages in lieu of traditional thermostats or a building management system. Additionally, due to the building's architecture, the existing IT infrastructure could not accommodate our needs. To resolve this, we were able to devise creative networking solutions, both wired and wireless, that addressed not only the requirements of the control system, but allowing for future upgrades. All while maintaining the robust security protocols required in a system of this magnitude.

One57
Central Park
NYC
Soaring over 1000 feet above the NYC skyline, this exclusive collection of tower condominiums provide breathtaking views over Central Park. Working in conjunction with a NYC AV dealer, we were able to provide building-wide audio and video routing and control for a screening room, conference rooms, library, fitness center, spa, and pool, along with digital signage for the concierge, entry, and mailroom. This was accomplished using several networked Crestron control processors located on different floors of the building. Working closely with the client, we were able to set up an automated schedule to allow each system to turn on and off depending on the time of day.

Northrop
Grumman
Florida
Northrop Grumman is a technology company providing solutions for the U.S. government, particularly the Department of Defense and intelligence community, We were tasked with assisting in the design, programming, and commissioning of SCIF facilities (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) based on ICD 705 Tech Specs. Our directive including consideration of physical security measures, acoustic security, visual controls, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems as they pertain to both classified and unclassified VTC and ATC hard codecs. This required low level security clearance and adherence to protocols related to military adjacent personnel.

Hudson Yards
D&D London
NYC
When London's leading restaurant group, D&D London, reached out regarding a new restaurant concept at Hudson Yards, we were initially mildly annoyed because it sounded like a pain in the neck. People claim they "enjoy a challenge", but that is often a lie. We were right - This job did turn out to be a pain in the neck, but the system is running well and the client is happy. We were able to provide multi-zone distributed audio using a Biamp Tesira DSP, lighting and shades via a Lutron system, all controlled using a Crestron processor, an iPad, and Crestron's Xpanel desktop control.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
When Embry-Riddle designed a new, state-of-the-art student union building, it knew it had to support the advanced technology that its students were interested in. Working in conjunction an AV dealer in the Daytona Beach area, we we able to provide Crestron programming, DSP configuration, commissioning, project management, and IT support for 32 interconnected classrooms, huddle spaces, video conferencing systems, and one large event space consisting of six combinable rooms and ten projectors with motorized screens. The system is controlled by several Crestron processors, using DMPS processors in the smaller rooms. Video routing via 26 NVX units, and five BSS Blue DSPs using Dante to enable audio routing, room combine in the event space, and distributed audio and paging throughout the building.

Shell Oil
New Orleans
LA
We didn't love this one. Working in conjunction with AVI-SPL New Orleans (who are great guys), we were tasked with controlling a fleet of Cisco SX80 video conferencing systems routing audio through Q-SYS Core DSPs, with one caveat: The new touch panel designs had to exactly emulate their existing fleet of conferencing rooms, down to the very color of each button. Note, there are far better examples of our work, but this one happened to be open on our desk, and, quite frankly, working on websites for your own company is incredibly boring and reeks of hubris. If you'd like us to wow you with tech, give us a call. Which you probably should have done 20 minutes ago.
Oh. And the Shell logo is pretty cool. It's a shell. Can't beat that. And working with AVI-SPL is always a trip. I'm leaving this on the website 'cause of the shell.
